For residents of Lake Country and surrounding communities, achieving a straighter, healthier smile no longer means travelling out of town. Azure Dental offers comprehensive dental services, including orthodontic care with traditional braces and Invisalign.
Patients of all ages come to the clinic with concerns ranging from mildly rotated teeth to more complex bite issues.
Dr. Paula Winsor-Lee has been providing dental care in the community since 2007 and opened Azure Dental in 2023. The rapidly growing area of Lake Country did not have a new Dental practice open for many years.

“Orthodontics is about moving teeth into healthier positions to support function and long-term oral health,” says Winsor-Lee. “Braces are not just for kids - adults can absolutely benefit from them too.”
Invisalign, a nearly invisible aligner system, is especially popular with teens and adults who want a discreet treatment option.
“Invisalign requires a bit more commitment than braces,” Winsor-Lee explains. “You wear the aligners for 22 hours a day and switch to a new set every two weeks. It works really well for patients who are motivated and consistent.”
That flexibility makes Invisalign an attractive option for those balancing work, school or public-facing roles - but it does come with extra responsibility.
“With braces, things are more hands-off,” she adds. “With Invisalign, success really depends on the patient’s cooperation.”
For patients with more complex orthodontic needs, Azure Dental offers traditional full braces and advanced appliances, including devices to help expand the jaw or correct bite alignment.
“We’ve had cases where braces alone weren’t enough,” Winsor-Lee says. “Sometimes we need to use appliances to create space or adjust how the jaws fit together. Every jaw is different, and we’re always working toward the best long-term outcome for each patient.”
Many orthodontic patients in the region face long commutes for care. Winsor-Lee says having access to treatment locally makes a big difference.
“We’re part of the community,” she says. “There’s no need to drive all the way to Kelowna. Patients can get consistent care right here from a team they know.”
And while the physical benefits of orthodontic treatment are clear, Winsor-Lee says the emotional impact is just as powerful.
“With teenagers especially, it’s incredible to see the change,” she says. “Once their teeth are straight, they carry themselves differently - they smile more, they speak up. That confidence boost is one of the best parts of the job.”
