Dr. Paula Winsor-Lee has always been passionate about dentistry, but her journey to establishing Azure Dental in Lake Country was driven by a desire to offer innovative, patient-focused care. With a background in orthodontics and general dentistry, she has built a practice that prioritizes advanced technology, efficiency and personalized treatment.
“I saw the growing need for a new office in Lake Country,” Winsor-Lee explains. “The community is expanding rapidly, and I wanted to provide a space for high-quality dental care close to home.”
A standout feature of Azure Dental is their ability to create one-day permanent crowns. “We have an in-office milling system that allows us to create ceramic crowns the same day,” Winsor-Lee explains. “That was a big goal when I opened this practice - to provide faster, high-quality restorations for our patients.”

Azure Dental also uses digital scanning technology, replacing traditional impressions with a precise and comfortable intraoral scanner. This is especially helpful for Invisalign treatments, which Winsor-Lee has offered since 2008. “We can show patients how their teeth will move and what their smile could look like before treatment even begins.”
Saskatchewan roots, Okanagan connections
Winsor-Lee grew up in Saskatchewan, earned her dental degree in 2002, and moved to B.C. in 2005. She first practiced in Lumby, opening a clinic to meet the high demand for orthodontic care. “I’ve been a member of the International Association of Orthodontics since 2007 and have continued my education to expand my expertise.”
While still serving Lumby, opening Azure Dental in Lake Country lets her provide general and orthodontic services to a growing community. “Lake Country is such a diverse area,” she says. “We see retirees, remote workers and families moving in from across Canada. It’s exciting to be part of that growth.
“Orthodontics isn’t just about straightening teeth; it’s about ensuring proper alignment and bite for a lifetime of good oral health,” she explains.
This philosophy extends to everything Azure Dental offers, from children’s dentistry to TMJ treatment and tooth replacement options. “We want to help patients maintain their natural teeth for as long as possible,” she says.
Beyond providing high-quality care, Winsor-Lee values the sense of community that comes with working in Lake Country. “It’s a great place to live and work,” she says. “I meet a lot of people who, like me, moved from Saskatchewan or Alberta. There’s a shared appreciation for nature, family and a high quality of life.”
At Azure Dental, that sense of connection translates into a welcoming, patient-centred experience. “Our goal is to create a comfortable, relaxing environment where people feel taken care of,” she says. “We invite everyone to come in and experience it for themselves.”
