Juno nominated Tyler Joe Miller is heading to Kelowna for the Country Mixtape Tour.
Joined by Shawn Austin and Andrew Hyatt, the trio will take to the stage at This Country Bar on April 11.
Bar manager David Habib said they are very excited. “We’re actually really looking forward to him winning a Juno prior to coming to [This Country Bar].”
Miller is nominated for country album of the year with “Spillin’ My Truth”. The Juno awards are set for March 24.
Habib said there’s not many tickets left as the venue offers a more intimate concert setting with room for only 160 people. “We know from the first concert we did last month that it was a great time. Everybody had a great time, including the artists.”
This Country Bar held its first concert on Feb. 15 with Aaron Pritchett, Cory Marks, and Matt Lang entertaining a sold out bar.
Habib said the revamp of the upstairs of the Liquid Zoo was a positive move, noting that they are pretty full most Fridays and Saturdays even in the slower months.
Many concerts are expected to be added to the bar’s summer lineup. “We’re prepared to spend the money, we’re prepared to do what we have to do to bring some bigger names to the community.”
