Vancouver Island’s own David Gogo is bringing his guitar and a long list of accolades to the Dream Cafe in Penticton this June.

There’s much more where that came from, though, when it comes to local entertainment throughout the month.

The Dream Cafe is hosting 15 shows in 30 days this June, with Gogo’s appearance on the local stage set for June 22.

He returns to Penticton following the release of his 16th full-length album in 2021, Silver Cup.

Along with having six Juno award nominations to his name, Gogo has been named Guitarist of the Year three times at the Canadian-based Maple Blues Awards.

Gogo will be joined in Penticton by 14 other performers, including comics, at the Dream Cafe this June.

The Nanaimo blues musician has made a number of previous appearances in Penticton, including in 2018 when he launched his 15th studio album, 17 Vultures.

Gogo’s upcoming show in Penticton begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Dream Cafe’s website.

The venue hosted more than 150 shows in 2022, marking a return to normal on stage following the COVID-19 pandemic.
