'Dreamers' created by Carmen Bouvier can be viewed at Glenmore Highlands trail.

Carmen Bouvier has come forward as the artist behind "Dreamers", a sculpture on a hiking path in Glenmore.

Bouvier posted to Facebook to claim the works as their own after a couple of other posts circulated on social media praising the piece.

"I am a fourth-year student at UBCO, and this is currently just a passion project that brings me joy and keeps my hands busy. I hope to further my practice as time goes on, and making a career of it and exploring residencies in the future is definitely a dream of mine that I have considered often," Bouvier wrote online.

"Dreamers" is made completely out of natural materials and took a couple of weeks to finish on site of the Highlands path.

The artist said other pieces they've completed can be viewed on Instagram, @ihavelavalamps

Bouvier added that they are happy to discuss custom pieces on commission for anyone interested.

"Thank you so so much for the kind words from those who have posted and commented on previous posts spotting the Dreamers, and to the lovely hikers and dogwalkers who were so incredibly lovely! It truly means a lot."

Capital News has reached out to Bouvier for more information.
