After a Penticton cat decided to climb a tree without knowing how to get down, city crews came to save the day.

The parks team this week came to the rescue of Mali, a local cat who found herself stuck in a tall tree.

With the help of a bucket truck and arborist, the cat was brought to safety from the high branches.

“It appears she will live another nine lives – and made it a day to remember,” the city wrote in a social media post.
