Peachlanders love hockey and their community.
Mountainview Park ice rink at the centre of it all this winter. Peachland community rink has seen some of its most glorious days since its move from Turner Park to a little way up the hill, right beside the Peachland Riding Club.
Peachland Fire and Rescue Services Fire Chief Dennis Craig said the fire department has taken pride in creating and maintaining the two rinks, and seeing appreciation the community shows for the ice rinks.
The two rinks were designed with the community’s love of hockey in mind. One rink is larger so kids and families can play and skate with hockey sticks and gear, while the other is smaller so beginners and non-hockey players can also enjoy the skating.

While some communities have hidden treasure ice rinks on ponds or sports-boxes that need to be maintained and pose risks of injuries, Peachland’s Mountainview Park’s rink is maintained by professionals with the fire services.
It’s also well equipped with lights, and a porta-potty. The added features add to the pride and joy that Peachland residents, and others in the Okanagan, feel in local ice rinks like Moutainview Park.
