The Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy is on the search for substitutes for some of their outreach programs.
Volunteer participants will receive massage treatments by a senior-level student in the two-year massage diploma program at the downtown Vernon campus.
“We currently need substitutes for our neurologic, systemic, cancer, scar, maternity and pediatric outreaches,” said Carissa Kendal, outreach co-ordinator.
The students work in small groups with a supervisor to give them hands-on learning from professionals.
OVCMT have worked with the Vernon and Kelowna communities at addiction rehabilitation sites, the Okanagan Indian Band and retirement facilities.
