The inaugural Lake Country Community Associations' 50/50 draw was a success.
Barbra Rutherford of the Okanagan Centre Community Hall Association helped spearhead the initiative that benefits all of the associations in enacting and mandating community halls and outdoor spaces.
The associations include Carr’s Landing, Okanagan Centre, Oyama, and Winfield.
Christine Calcutt of Oyama took home the first-ever 50/50 jackpot from the association, winning $4,402.
“We’d like to thank everyone for their participation by buying tickets, and we’re already taking about a second raffle later this year,” said Rutherford.
