Have you ever wondered if there was a place you could go to interview organizations for volunteer opportunities to determine if they are the right fit for you?
Have you ever wanted to get a sense of the breadth of organizations that exist in the Central Okanagan?
Maybe you work or volunteer with an organization and wish you could let the community know about the amazing work you do? Then the Okanagan Volunteer Fair is made just for you and you had best mark your calendars for Sept. 16 to participate in the fun at Parkinson Recreation Centre.
For organizations wanting to register a booth, the early bird deadline to participate is coming up fast, but there is still time.
Register by June 30 and can save on the booth space. As a non-profit or charitable organization committed to making a positive impact in the community, registering for the Okanagan Volunteer Fair is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
The Okanagan Volunteer Fair will give you the opportunity to:
1. Expand Your Network and Forge Meaningful Connections: The Okanagan Volunteer Fair brings together a diverse range of organizations, volunteers, and community leaders under one roof. Registering for this fair gives your organization a unique platform to connect with like-minded individuals and foster valuable relationships. Building partnerships with other organizations and engaging with volunteers can lead to collaboration on projects, sharing of resources, and expanding your reach within the community.
2. Access to a Dedicated Pool of Volunteers: Volunteer fairs attract individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the Central Okanagan community.
By participating in the Okanagan Volunteer Fair, your organization gains access to a dedicated pool of volunteers actively seeking meaningful opportunities. These individuals are more likely to be motivated, reliable, and committed, making them invaluable assets for your organization’s projects and initiatives.
3. Increase Awareness and Visibility: The Okanagan Volunteer Fair provides a platform for your organization to increase its visibility and raise awareness about its mission and activities. Engaging with visitors through informative displays and compelling conversations helps create a lasting impression. By showcasing your organization’s values, goals, and accomplishments, you can attract volunteers and potential donors, sponsors, and supporters who align with your cause.
And the added bonus? Your registration saves you a space at the awesome Volunteer Managers Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, Sept.15, where you will enjoy a rejuvenating and delicious celebration of volunteerism.
The cost to participate is only $75 and includes your space at the fair, as well as a listing in the Get Involved Magazine that is produced in partnership with the Capital News.
Every year, the Volunteer Fair has amazing sponsors and partners that show their community pride and commitment to supporting the volunteer movement and we are grateful to our partners for continuing their commitment: the Kelowna Capital News/Black Press, the City of Kelowna, Bell Media, Central Okanagan Foundation and Interior Savings.
