How a giant egg-laying rabbit ever got involved with a religious holiday is anyone’s guess but one thing is certain.  Easter wouldn’t be the same without the Bunny. The smiles on the faces of egg hunters is the stuff that childhood memories are made of.

Leading up to the much anticipated Easter Egg Hunt at Jack Seaton Park, magician Leif David kept the growing crowd entertained.

Meanwhile Sheila Gunn, Leisure Services Coordinator for the District, along with a contingent of helpers from GESS made sure that all of the kids were registered and that they knew where to go. When all was said and done approximately 670 kids took part in the hunt.

The Lions club was on site cooking lunch for the hunters and their families.

The Fire Department pitched in as well, watching over the kids to ensure they didn’t stray out-of-bounds.
