Fun in the sun

Fun Day has traditionally been the Oyama Community Club’s most popular event of the year, and last weekend was no exception.

Thousands of spectators lined the isthmus as the annual parade made it’s way down Oyama Road.

With the parade winding now, the crowd made its way to the concession stalls for some treats. Others sought refuge from the sun inside the hall where they could browse the silent auction items, enjoy some baked goods and take in some music by the Lake Country Big Band.

Of course no Fun Day would be complete without the kids games and there were plenty of those for all ages from tug-o-wars, to potato sack races and even an ice cream eating contest.
