Celebrate the golden age of cinema and raise money for a good cause at the BC SPCA's 'Old Hollywoof' Fur Ball in Kelowna.
The event is being held on Saturday, May 10 to raise money for the SPCA while celebrating films from the 1920s-1960s.
“This evening is an important fundraiser for the work the BC SPCA does here in our community,” said Karin Massar, BC SPCA Kelowna’s senior officer, community giving. “Guests are welcome to dress in cinema style from the era or wear black or red attire for this year’s theme.”
The event will start with a cuddle lounge at 6 p.m., giving attendees a chance to meet animal ambassadors from the SPCA. There will be a cocktail reception and then dinner will be served at 7 p.m., featuring a three-course meal, paired with complimentary wines.
There will be a silent auction throughout the night as well to try and win some prizes.
“You will be able to bid on some amazing auction items and participate in fun interactive fundraising activities,” Massar added. “And after dinner guests can dance the night away with music from DJ Haymaker.”
Speakers will share their stories as the night goes on.
“This is an evening dedicated to the work of the BC SPCA, made possible by the kindness of incredibly generous supporters and compassionate people who see vulnerable animals in need and help them,” said Massar.
The event is taking place at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel at 5505 Airport Way. Tickets are available on the SPCA website.
