Enjoying opera under the stars

Pre-registration is required for the event at UBCO by Opera Kelowna

Enjoy opera under the stars this summer as it returns to UBC Okanagan.

Some of Canada’s talent will gather for an evening of performances as Opera Kelowna opens its 2017 Summer Opera Series with Opera Under the Stars, organized in partnership with UBC.

Opera Under the Stars returns to UBC Okanagan, Wednesday, Aug. 2 for the third year in a row. The free open-air public concert by Opera Kelowna presents the world-class cast of the August production of Puccini’s La Bohème. UBC Okanagan’s central courtyard provides the ideal relaxed and picturesque setting for a summer evening of opera and entertainment.

The public is invited to bring picnic blankets or chairs and find their favourite spots around the courtyard. The event is free, but online pre-registration is required. Parking for the evening is complimentary.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, including a selection of wines from Quails’ Gate Winery, beer, and soft drinks, along with some gourmet food options.
