Dog agility fun day at Swalwell Park this Saturday

The local dog agility club is holding a fun trial on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 8 a.m.

Lake Country residents who are interested in dog agility can see what it’s all about this weekend as the Lake Country Jumping Agility Mutts will be in action all day Saturday at Swalwell Park.

The local club is holding a fun trial on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 8 a.m. where close to 40 dogs are expected to show their skill.

“Dogs that are fairly experienced are coming from all over the valley so if people want to come out and watch and see what it’s all about, it will be a fun day,” said Nancy Williams, club vice-president.

“There will be all kinds of skill levels so new dogs to the sport are also welcome to come out.”

The Lake Country Jumping Agility Mutts have about 25 members and this weekend’s fun trial is designed as a practise event for dogs and owners who may want to go on to provincial or nationally sanctioned events.
