Club for lonely Kelowna seniors to hold anniversary party

A club started for lonely seniors will be celebrating its first anniversary.

According to creator Gloria-Jean Seymour, Dine and Chat, which encourages seniors to get out and about, is celebrating its one year anniversary Feb. 2 at the Sandman Hotel.

The cost is $20 per person and includes the buffet. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Draws and prizes will also be given out.

Seymour started the lonely senior singles club last February after she found herself in need of companions. It’s since become a great success and every Tuesday somewhere between 25 and 45 seniors get together.
