The Kelowna Chiefs junior B hockey team partnered with Winfield Minor Hockey Association for a good cause.
At its game on Tuesday night, when the Chiefs took on the North Okanagan Knights, fans and parents were asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Kelowna Community Food Bank.
Besides the drive for the food bank, Winfield Minor Hockey Association was also raising money for their organization. A silent auction featured a number of gifts, services and hockey memorabilia while proceeds from the popular frisbee toss where a fan won a $100 gas card was donated to WMHA.
Team captains presented hampers to a representative with the food bank before the start of the match.
