It’s a fun afternoon of golf, camaraderie, and raising money for a popular Okanagan kids’ camp.

The Vernon Lions Club presents the Fundraising Golf Tournament For Camp Winfield (Easter Seals Camp) on Saturday, May 28.

The 18-hole fun scramble tournament will take place at the Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club, beginning with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Cost is $150 per person, which includes the green fee, shared power cart, dinner at the clubhouse, and prizes.

Money raised from the tournament will help fund facility improvements and subsidize camperships.

Easter Seals has been offering summer camp experiences to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities since 1968.

From day camps, to week long overnight camps, there are options available for all interests, and for all children and adults with disabilities aged six-to-49-years-old.

Trained counsellors bring out the fun and silly in every activity and event, creating experiences that instill confidence, and memories that last a lifetime.

The tournament’s registration deadline is Saturday, May 7, and foursomes are preferred. A minimum of 120 golfers is required.

A tournament registration form can be found online at https://e-clubhouse.org/site/vernon_bc.

Gold sponsors and prizes are also sought for the event.
