Enderby and District Financial celebrates 70 years of serving it’s community.

Susan Ewanick, President of Enderby and District Financial, joined members and employees, along with Mayor Greg McCune and Fire Chief Cliff Vetter on Tuesday to celebrate the milestone.

“Enderby and District Financial is a cornerstone of our community and has provided so much more than financial services over the years,” said McCune.

“I would like to congratulate everyone at Enderby and District Financial on reaching this significant 70th milestone.”

On July 4, 1947, Co-operative individuals applied for a Credit Union Charter and created Enderby and District Credit Union, and since then, the organization has movies forward growing into the community financial institution it is today.

Partnerships with Kingfisher Interpretive Centre, Education Awards, Feed Enderby and District Food Bank, and the Enderby Preschool has led to Enderby and District Financial contributing more than $200,000 to Enderby and surrounding communities.

“Enderby’s success over the last seven decades is a testament to the strength, spirit, and community values of the North Okanagan and Shuswap,” said Ewanick.

“Thank you for helping us get to 70 years, here’s looking forward to 70 more.”
