The Kelowna Sun Devils picked up their 20th win of the B.C. midget AAA baseball season with a 6-5 walkoff victory Wednesday over the Vernon Canadians.

Jackson Sowerby celebrated his birthday with a two-out single in the bottom of seventh inning, scoring James Guidon.

Jay Taylor pitched 3 2/3 innings of relief to earn his second win of the season.

Noah Ringness-Law (.529) and Kurtis Wall (.422) led the way offensively each with a pair of hits.

“Any player in our lineup has the ability to step up and produce the game winning hit on any given night, tonight it was Sower’s turn,” said head coach Rob Law. “We can turn to anybody, they depend on one another.”

The Sun Devils (20-3) return to action Sunday in Cloverdale with a doubleheader against the Spurs.
