Lake Country doubles tennis a competitive feast

A great and fun event was held recently by the Lake Country Tennis Club

The Lake Country tennis club held their annual Fun Day Club Doubles Tournament on Sunday July 23 under perfect weather conditions with fierce competition and high skill levels.

All participants were divided into four teams with the team winning the most doubles matches being named champions for the day. After four hours of heavy competition Team White Shirts led by John Smith won the day with his happy teammates Kathy Walraven, Jack Johnston, Ray Stevens, and Leah Crampton.

In other Lake Country tennis club news at the recent Alpha Zulu Okanagan Open tennis Championships in Kelowna Ben Johnson came in 2nd place for Men’s B class singles. Johnson and Antonio Braz of Lake Country won the Men’s B class doubles consolation round.
