RCMP seize evidence with heavy lifting

Lake Country RCMP used a crane to retrieve a hot tub believed stolen last November.

The Lake Country RCMP seized a $17,000 hot tub in dramatic fashion on Friday, April 20, when a crane was used to lift the 1,400-lb tub over the house.

On Friday evening the RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence on the 3200 block of Berry Road for a hot tub that was believed to have been stolen in November of last year. As the hot tub was estimated to be over 1,400 pounds (635 kg), a crane was brought in to remove it. The tub had to be lifted over the house and was secured without incident.

Police continue to investigate the alleged theft and no arrests have yet been made.
