Hundreds of students got a free day off from class at George Elliot Secondary on Thursday when a transformer failed, forcing officials to close the school.
Power has now been restored to the school and class will be back in session on Friday.
"Thank you to all students, parents and staff for their cooperation and to our community partners and maintenance crews for resolving this issue for us in a timely fashion," stated a press release from the school district.
The power failure at the school nearly caused a planned concert on Friday night at Creekside Theatre to move.
But the Bif Naked show will take place as planned however in Creekside Theatre which is located in George Elliot Secondary.
Creekside manager Ryan Donn had been in contact with Bif Naked's management team and was putting a contingency plan in place should the school's power not be restored.
That plan could have seen the concert move to the Winfield Memorial Hall if the George Elliot issues could not be fixed.
But the sold out show will go on inside Creekside Theatre on Friday night as planned.
