Kelowna-based tech company GetintheLoop is expanding its reach with a deal that will take its exclusive deals' platform to Vancouver Island in a partnership with radio magnate Pattison Broadcast Group.

GetintheLoop connects consumers with non-stop exclusive deals via their smart phones in multiple B.C. cities including Kelowna, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Vernon, Penticton and Victoria.

This new agreement will take its reach further onto Vancouver Island and will nearly double its reach.

“To further expand our reach throughout Western Canada alongside a partner like the Pattison Broadcast Group is an exciting opportunity for our organization," said Matt Crowell, CEO of GetintheLoop. "This partnership will see the number of cities we operate in more than double and is set up to launch future markets under the partnership.”

The partnership with Pattison will see the service launch across mid-Vancouver Island in early 2017 with the broadcast group offering their business customers the exclusive opportunity to use the GetintheLoop for business platform. That part of the GetintheLoop platform allows them to connect directly with consumer’s phones across multiple digital touch-points including email and mobile apps, giving them full control and detailed measurement of their marketing efforts.

“Mobile marketing is an increasingly powerful tool for business promotion, and we’re excited to expand our offering for our clients to grow their businesses by including the GetintheLoop mobile marketing platform as part of our services,”  said Rob Bye, GM Island Radio.

GetintheLoop started as a way of connecting golf courses to consumers phones in the Okanagan but has quickly grown into an advanced mobile marketing platform that is being used to attract and retain new customers. Brands such as Canadian Tire, Boston Pizza, Bentall Kennedy Malls, Safeway, and hundreds of other national and local brands are utilizing the platform.

GetintheLoop's Mitch Carefoot said the deal is good for the Kelowna start-up for a couple of reasons as the company will be able to expand its offers in more cities, helping it to acquire more members and helping it grow. GetintheLoop's existing customers will also have more benefits when traveling.

"As we expand to more cities our members can click one button on the app and find a deal at a hotel or outdoor excursion," said Carefoot. "For Loop members coming up from Mainland to the Okanagan, they can use GetintheLoop as a tourism and discovery app."
