Fisher reported through the ice on Duck Lake
At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, a telephone report came in of someone having fallen through the ice on Duck Lake.
Emergency crews from Kelowna and Lake Country responded, but found nothing out of the ordinary.
They spoke to someone who had been wind surfing on the ice who said they had not seen anyone in trouble out there.
There was also a report of a fisher in gear that made him appear half submerged.
The report came from a driver who did not stop to observe the scene more closely.
At least three fire department emergency vehicles and crew were dispatched to the investigation before it was called off.
