Turtle Lodge unit on fire, occupants believed out safely

A single unit at Turtle Lodge Resort, on Highway 97 in Lake Country, caught on fire Wednesday afternoon.

Kelowna and Lake Country fire departments responded within moments of the call coming at around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

An undisclosed sources called the unit "a fairly involved fire," in its early stages.

The Turtle Lodge is in the 7800 block of HIghway 97 N.

It's believed a man and his two children, both under the age of 9, got safely out of the unit.
