Lake Country man survives crash
A Lake Country man ejected from his black vintage Ford truck Monday morning during a crash is expected to recover.
Kelowna RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle accident Monday at 6:40 a.m. on Highway 97 near Duck Lake.
A black vintage Ford pick-up was southbound on the highway when it apparently lost control and hit a concrete a barrier.
The driver, 33, from Lake Country, was ejected from the vehicle, landing in a field at the bottom of a steep embankment.
Police said the man was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries, and is expected to recover from the crash.
Police suspect a mechanical failure contributed to the crash.
