Kelowna water polo stars Octavio Macedo and Mason Baughen showcased their talents in helping to win bronze for the Pacific Storm at the 17U Western Championships in Saskatoon on Apr. 21.

The victory over Team Saskatoon also secured a spot in the 17U National Finals in Montreal.

Pacific Storm Coach Nikola Maric praised his team’s performance.

“The tournament wasn’t the best for us, but the boys played well when it mattered. Octavio, returning from injury, and Mason, coming off the bench, had a huge impact.”

Macedo and Baughen will compete with their Kelowna team in the 18U Community Tournament before continuing their training with Pacific Storm.
