The Penticton Peach Festival announced headliners in what they are calling the greatest entertainment line-up in their 70-year history.

Kicking off the free, five-day festival will be one of Canada's greatest groups, 5440. The band has recorded more than a dozen hit singles in their long career.  Some of their most popular hits include: Ocean Pearl, One Gun, Casual Viewin’ and I Go Blind.

With dozens of hits, sold out shows across Canada and acknowledgment from Universal Music as “one of Canada’s top five selling bands of all time,” Trooper will headline the Peters Bros. Construction main stage on Aug. 10. Trooper have performed at the Grey Cup, the Winter Olympics and every other major event in Canada. Their greatest hits include Raise A Little Hell, We're Here For a Good Time, General Hand Grenade and Boys in the Bright White Sports Car.

Country night will take place on Aug. 11 and Aaron Pritchett will take the main stage with special guest Cory Marquardt. Pritchett is credited with bringing rock energy to country audiences in Canada. He has charted three singles on Canadian country radio in the past year.

Tribute night will be headlined with Arrival as ABBA; Dreams as Fleetwood Mac; and Brent Stewart as Rod Stewart on Aug. 12. Loverboy lead singer Mike Reno said about Brent Stewart, “I’ve never heard anyone that sounded that close to Rod Stewart."

Capping off the five days will be the Powder Blues Band on Aug. 13. The Powder Blues Band and their legendary leader, Tom Lavin, have been touring and recording for more than 30 years. Their greatest hits include Doin' It Right, Thirsty Ears and Boppin' with the Blues.

As part of Kiddies Day on Aug. 13, the talented duo of Bobs and Lolo will entertain the crowds. The talented duo is considered one of the top children’s acts in Canada. They appear regularly on Treehouse TV and have been nominated for multiple Juno Awards.

Peach Festival organizers said all shows are free thanks to the sponsors including Peters Bros. Construction, Tim Hortons and the Penticton Lakeside Resort.
