The Kelowna Home Instead Senior Care office is proud to commemorate 15 years of providing outstanding care to Okanagan seniors.

The milestone was celebrated with Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran and Coun. Maxine DeHart.

Owners Don Henke and Anita Johnson-Henke opened the Kelowna office in 2002, working with more than 1,300 seniors throughout Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland and Penticton.

Services range from round-the-clock care and medication reminders to cooking, cleaning and running errands. The Kelowna team also specializes in dementia care, with the majority of caregivers participating in an extensive Alzheimer’s training course.

“We are honored to reach such a milestone, and couldn’t have done it without our dedicated caregivers,” said Don. “I’d like to take this opportunity to extend a big thank-you to our staff, our clients and their families for an amazing 15 years. We look forward to serving Okanagan seniors for many years to come.”

“Congratulations to Home Instead Senior Care for 15 years of service to our community,” said Basran. “This business provides our local senior population with an excellent service that allows them to remain in the familiar surroundings and comfort of their own home.”

The province’s aging population presents a significant care sector employment opportunity in the Okanagan, and the Kelowna office is currently looking for two passionate individuals to join their team of over 60 employees.

Positions are available in the areas of Home Care consulting and Human Resources. For more information for either position contact Kim at kfuoco@hominstead.com. Interested candidates are welcome to drop by the Kelowna office at 202-1449 St. Paul Street, or call 250-860-4113.
