Mrs. Hoot, aka Melanie Marie Fulks-Kraus, and her Winfield Brownies enjoy Canada’s inaugural National Cookie Day, April 14, in Lake Country. They kept cheerful during a rainy day selling cookies, singing songs and talking with people from the community outside the Coopers grocery store. Brownies are seven and eight years old and in Grades 2 and 3. Winfield has 16 girls in its pack this year.
